This 2023 Wild Boar Toy Buying Guide intends to help you select the Wild Boar toy model that is best for you based on features and your budget. We discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the FIVE Toy Wild Boar figures currently available to assist your decision making so that you can purchase the best toy Wild Boar model that is best for you.
Wild Boar Toy Overview:
There are currently 5 different Wild Boar toys available. Our top three preferred figures are listed in order of preference. The CollectA Wild Boar ranked lower due to its aggressive and unconventional facial expression, but it may appeal to those seeking a more ferocious-looking boar figurine. The Papo figure ranked last due to its overall texture, which did not meet our expectations.
Overall a nice looking model with no major drawbacks. Nice body shape and well define hair, muscles, and face. Tusks are a nice white and really stand out against the face. If we had to pick only one, this would be our choice.
This is the largest of the Wild Boar figures currently available and that sets it apart. Hair texture is really well done also, so easily, this is the best Boar body. Face is fine, this would be the overall winner if the tusks were a little bigger and better painted. This is the only Wild Boar in a walking pose. Overall, this is a good figure.
While this is the smallest of the Wild Boar Figures available, it has a lot of nice features. Texture and pose are both nice. Face is also good looking. Only drawback (other than the smaller size) is that the tusks are not whiter and blend in with the face.
The body shape on this figure is fine – as is the body texture. This model has an absolutely CRAZY look and face. Mouth is open in an odd shape with its lips pulled back. Tusks are splayed out and vicious looking. While we like the concept of an open mouth to show the tusks, this face look slightly / overly odd.
Overall, this is a fine looking figure from Papo. Sculpt is good, face looks nice and tusks are well shaped and noticeable. Our issue with this model is the texture / composition. Side by side, this model looks “plastic-y” relative to the other figures. This is an older model (Papo has not released a new version of the Wild Boar). Newer models from Papo look much better than this model.
Toy Wild Boar Review Conclusion:
We have ranked our top three preferred figures in order of preference. While we like all three, the CollectA Wild Boar ranked lower due to its aggressive and unconventional facial expression, which may not be to everyone's taste. However, if you are looking for a boar figurine that looks more ferocious, this model may be the one for you. On the other hand, the Papo figure ranked last on our list due to its overall texture, which did not meet our expectations.
