Schleich Wild Boar #14783 Review:

While the Schleich Wild Boar is the smallest of the wild boar figures available, it still packs a punch with its impressive level of detail.

Hair texture is nice (but not the hairiest model available). The head and face of the boar are well done, with a peaceful / indifferent look is not ferocious. This is the only Boar with a twist to its neck. It looks slightly to its right as opposed to straight ahead.

The tusks are mostly brown and blend in with the face texture.

Wild Boar Information:

Wild boars are a fascinating species of pig that are found across Europe, Asia, and North Africa. They are known for their distinctive appearance, with a stocky build, bristly fur, and curved tusks. Wild boars are omnivorous and will eat a variety of foods, including roots, fruits, insects, and small animals. They are also known for their intelligence and adaptability, which has helped them to survive in a wide range of environments.

Wild boar have tusks that can inflict painful wounds on enemies like wolves and bears. In summer, wild boar like to wallow in mud to cool down. It also helps protect them from insect stings.

Wild boars are social animals and live in groups called sounders. These groups are typically made up of females and their young, while males tend to be solitary or form smaller groups. Wild boars are also known for their aggressive behavior, particularly when they feel threatened or cornered. They can charge at high speeds and use their sharp tusks to defend themselves.

Despite their reputation as a nuisance and danger to humans, wild boars play an important role in their ecosystem. They help to control populations of insects and small animals, and their rooting behavior can help to aerate and fertilize the soil. However, in areas where their populations have become too large, wild boars can cause damage to crops and property.
