Schleich Silver Dapple Mare Review:
This is a good looking horse from Schleich. Large flowing mane is the "main" attraction. Nice sweep to the side of the horse. Nice bushy tail and well formed hair details around the hoof. The manufacturer picture is much more grey than the actual figure. Despite the lighter color this horse had a good form / shape and details are nice. Would be good addition to your collection.
Silver Dapple Facts:
The Silver Dapple Mare actually has a dark coat, but the so-called "silver dapple" gene means that it is much lighter and looks silvery. Even the eyelashes of silver dapple horses are light, usually even white. This coloring is common in Rocky Mountain Horses, Scandinavian ponies and American horse breeds such as Morgan, American Saddlebred and Tennessee Walking Horse.
