This figure was selected as the best value Stegosaurus 2022 (tied with the CollectA Stegosaurus #88576). While this Safari Ltd. figure is generally slightly higher priced than the CollectA version. we like the details better on this figure - thus the tie for best value. This figure has an overall standard shape - what we like is the paint colors on this figure. The browns and the various shades of red make this figure stand out. We also like that the mouth is open. Few of the stegosaurus figures have open mouths. Good skin texture also bumps up its appearance. Overall a good figure at a good price.

Stegosaurus Dinosaur Information:

One of the most popular and well-known dinosaurs, Stegosaurus was a very unique looking dinosaur, with its large armored plates and distinctive tail spines. It lived during the Jurassic Period (around 150 million years ago) in the same time and place as Allosaurus. Broken tail spines and wound marks in Allosaurus bones suggest that these two may have done battle with each other.
