With high ridge back, this figure is the largest of the Hyena figures. Orangeish color makes this one of the most unique models. Only hyena with visible teeth.

We really like the color on this Safari Ltd. Hyena. Orangeish base color with brown dots really stands out. We also like the back shape on this figure. With the high hunch in the back. looks unique. Hair texture is nicely done. The model we tested had one leg that did not quite touch the ground - but figure was stable in spite of this.
This is the only hyena model with exposed teeth. Only the lower teeth are visible. Overall a good looking face on a good looking figure.

Hyena Information:
Despite their somewhat wolf-life appearance, the closest relative to hyenas are cats, mongooses, and civets, all of which make up the Feliformia suborder. However, they do share some traits with canines, such as catching prey with their teeth rather than their claws.
