Nanuqsaurus Information:

The Nanuqsaurus was a small tyrannosaurid dinosaur that lived approximately 70 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous period. Its fossils were discovered in Alaska, earning it the nickname "polar bear lizard" due to its adaptation to cold, seasonal climates. Measuring about 20 feet long and weighing up to 1,000 pounds, Nanuqsaurus was smaller than its famous cousin, the Tyrannosaurus rex, likely due to the limited resources of its Arctic habitat. As a carnivore, it would have preyed on other dinosaurs and scavenged to survive in the harsh environment. Nanuqsaurus provides a unique glimpse into how dinosaurs adapted to polar conditions.
