Camarasaurus Information:
Camarasaurus, meaning "chambered lizard," was a large sauropod dinosaur that lived during the Late Jurassic period, around 155 to 145 million years ago. It is recognized for its short, boxy skull and strong, thick neck, which allowed it to feed on high vegetation. Unlike some of its longer-necked relatives, Camarasaurus had a relatively shorter neck, but it was still one of the most massive animals to roam the Earth, reaching lengths of up to 23 meters (75 feet). Fossils of Camarasaurus have been found primarily in North America, and it is one of the most commonly discovered sauropod dinosaurs.
