The PNSO Tucson the Himalayasaurus model is a detailed representation of a prehistoric marine reptile from the Late Triassic period. This figure showcases the sleek, streamlined body typical of ichthyosaurs. The model features a darker grey dorsal side with a lighter underbelly, mimicking the natural camouflage of marine creatures. The head is sculpted with a short snout and numerous small, pointed teeth. Its flippers and crescent-shaped tail are carefully crafted to reflect the animal's likely swimming capabilities.

Himalayasaurus, known from fragmentary fossils discovered in Tibet, is a member of the Shastasauridae family, a group of some of the largest ichthyosaurs to ever exist. Named for its discovery in the Himalayas, this species lived around 215 million years ago during the Triassic period. The estimated size of Himalayasaurus, which could have reached lengths of over 15 meters, makes it one of the giants among marine reptiles of its time.
