The PNSO Connor The Torvosaurus is the only Torvosaurus currently available.
The figure features a great moveable mouth that really opens/ closes.
Connor was released by PNSO in 2021. The application of the paint on the face (that little orange spot) really pops. This figure has a moveable jaw. The jaw has good range of motion. The details inside the mouth are a little basic and the inside of the mouth / fleshy folds are a little pink for us. We would prefer a darker shade. This figure has good form and the low profile gives the sense of motion. The paint color scheme is a little basic but still looks good. Overall, if you want a Torvosaurus figure, this would be a good model to add to your dinosaur collection.
PNSO - Connor The Torvosaurus measures 12" L x 3.1" H.
PNSO figures are scientific reconstruction sculptures for display. NOT A TOY.
Torvosaurus was a large theropod that lived during the Late Jurassic period, approximately 153 to 148 million years ago. Its fossils have been found in North America and Europe, indicating a wide distribution across the supercontinent Laurasia. The name Torvosaurus means "savage lizard," reflecting its nature as a formidable predator.
Torvosaurus belonged to the family Megalosauridae, a group of large carnivorous theropods that were among the apex predators of their time. It was one of the largest known carnivorous dinosaurs of the Jurassic period, with estimates suggesting it could reach lengths of up to 10 meters (33 feet) and weigh around 4-5 tons. This massive size, combined with its powerful jaws and sharp teeth, made Torvosaurus a fearsome presence in its ecosystem.
