3+ Years
Small Parts. Not for children under 3 years.
The PNSO "Anny the Koala" showcases the koala's characteristic stout, tailless body, large, rounded ears, and prominent black nose. The texture of the fur is intricately detailed, reflecting the thick, woolly coat typical of koalas. The coloration is true to life, with varying shades of gray and white on the chest and inner ears. The pose captures the koala in a natural, tree-climbing position, highlighting its strong limbs and sharp claws adapted for grasping branches.
PNSO - Anny the Koala measures approximately 2" L x 2.8" H
Koalas are arboreal marsupials primarily found in the eucalyptus forests of eastern and southeastern Australia. They are known for their specialized diet, feeding almost exclusively on eucalyptus leaves, which are low in nutrients and high in fibrous content. To accommodate this diet, koalas have a slow metabolic rate and spend up to 18-22 hours a day resting or sleeping to conserve energy. Their digestive system includes a specialized cecum that helps break down the tough eucalyptus leaves and detoxify the harmful compounds present in them.
Reproduction in koalas involves a gestation period of about 35 days, after which a single, underdeveloped joey is born. The joey crawls into the mother's pouch, where it continues to develop for about six months. After emerging from the pouch, the young koala remains with its mother, riding on her back and gradually transitioning to a diet of eucalyptus leaves. Weaning occurs at around 12 months of age, and young koalas become independent shortly thereafter.
