PNSO Living Animal Series - Noce the Red Kangaroo #201034
3+ Years

Small Parts. Not for children under 3 years.
The PNSO "Noce the Red Kangaroo" showcases the kangaroo's characteristic muscular build, elongated hind legs, and sturdy tail, all of which are essential for its distinctive hopping locomotion. The texture of the fur is detailed, and the coloration reflects the reddish-brown hue typical of male red kangaroos, with subtle shading to indicate muscle definition and natural wear. The facial features are finely sculpted, capturing the alert expression and large ears that are hallmark traits of the species.
PNSO Noce the Red Kangaroo measures approximately: 3" L x 2.8" H
Red kangaroos are iconic symbols of Australia's arid and semi-arid interior regions, often referred to as the Outback. As the largest marsupials, adult males, known as "boomers," can stand over 6 feet tall and weigh up to 200 pounds, while females, called "flyers," are generally smaller and lighter. Their powerful hind legs are adapted for leaping, allowing them to cover distances of up to 25 feet in a single bound and reach speeds of over 35 miles per hour. The long, muscular tail serves as a counterbalance during hopping and provides support when standing or moving slowly.
Red kangaroos are primarily crepuscular, being most active during the early morning and late afternoon to evening hours. They are herbivorous, feeding mainly on grasses and other vegetation. Their specialized teeth and digestive systems enable them to extract moisture from their food, allowing them to survive in arid environments with limited water sources. Socially, red kangaroos often form groups called "mobs," which provide protection against predators and aid in locating food and water resources.
