Red kangaroos are iconic symbols of Australia's arid and semi-arid interior regions, often referred to as the Outback. Their powerful hind legs are adapted for leaping, allowing them to cover distances of up to 25 feet in a single bound and reach speeds of over 35 miles per hour.
