The PNSO Popo the Hippopotamus is a finely crafted figure that is action packed with a wide open mouth - showing its impressive teeth and tunsks. The figure showcases the hippo's barrel-shaped body, short legs, and large head with notable accuracy. The skin texture is relatively smooth, reflecting the thick, nearly hairless hide typical of hippos. The coloration mirrors the natural hues of the species, with a grayish/reddish to muddy-brown tone.

The wide open mouth is the highlight of this model.

PNSO Popo the Hippopotamus measures 2.8" L x 2.8" H.

The common hippopotamus is a large, mostly herbivorous mammal native to sub-Saharan Africa. Despite their stocky build and short legs, hippos can run up to 30 kilometers per hour on land. They are well-adapted to aquatic environments, with eyes, ears, and nostrils positioned on top of their heads, allowing them to see and breathe while mostly submerged. Their skin secretes a natural sunscreen substance, sometimes referred to as "blood sweat," which is neither blood nor sweat but serves to protect their skin from sunburn and dehydration.

ls, often found in groups called pods, bloats, or sieges, typically consisting of around 10 to 30 individuals, though larger aggregations can occur. These groups are usually led by a dominant male and include females and their offspring. Hippos spend much of their day in water bodies such as rivers, lakes, and swamps to keep cool under the hot African sun, emerging at dusk to graze on grasses. An adult hippo can consume up to 40 kilograms of grass in a night.
