The PNSO - Chata the Black Rhinoceros showcases the animal's distinctive features in a compact form. Of immediate notice is the large nose horn - proudly raised high in the air. The figure's lifelike wrinkles and textured skin replicates the rough, rugged appearance characteristic of black rhinoceroses, and the musculature is well-defined, reflecting the animal's powerful build.
The coloration is true to life, with grey shades that mirror the natural hues of the species.

The black rhinoceros is a large herbivorous mammal native to various regions in Africa. Despite its name, the black rhinoceros typically exhibits a gray or brown skin tone. One of its most distinctive features is its prehensile upper lip, which is adapted for grasping and manipulating foliage, allowing it to feed on a variety of vegetation, including leaves, branches, and shoots. This adaptation distinguishes it from the white rhinoceros, which has a broad, flat mouth suited for grazing.
Black rhinoceroses are generally solitary animals, with individuals occupying overlapping home ranges. They have a reputation for being more aggressive and unpredictable compared to other rhinoceros species. Their poor eyesight is compensated by a keen sense of smell and hearing, which they rely on to detect predators and other threats. When threatened, a black rhinoceros can charge at remarkable speeds, reaching up to 34 miles per hour.
