Physically, blue wildebeests are notable for their size and distinctive markings. They can reach up to 8 feet in length, stand about 4.5 feet tall at the shoulders, and weigh as much as 600 pounds. Both males and females possess short, curved horns, with males typically exhibiting more pronounced bosses.
