Triceratops - Doyle (PNSO)

Premium triceratops figure from PNSO. This is the only triceratops model with a moveable jaw. Interesting spikes on the lower back. Comes with a base.

This is an interesting figure from PNSO. As typical with PNSO, they did a great job on this figure (as always at a cost). This is the only figure with a moveable jaw. Mouth has a good range of motion and inside / tongue look good. Head is well shaped - frill is slightly undersized when scaled to other models. Red and white highlights on the frill add detail but look a little busy.

Figure is in a walking stance, but with curve and the walk - figure is a bit tippy without the stand. As figure attaches to the stand - quite solid if the stand is used, but if you were not planning on using the stand - figure is tippy.

This is the only figure with micro spikes / hairs on the back. Unique, but no idea where the scientific basis for those spikes / hairs come from.

Triceratops Information:

The triceratops mouth was equipped with a horny beak and the heavy neck shield was of solid bone. Triceratops probably used its armour mostly in mating contests, but it would also have afforded some protection against attack from giant meat eating dinosaur.
