Papo Sea Life - Seahorse #56051
3+ Years
Small Parts. Not for children under 3 years.
The Papo Seahorse is a delicate little figure of a seahorse anchoring itself to some coral. It is holding the red coral tightly with its tail. The seahouse itself is a vibrant orange and is a little cutie. If you are a fan of miniatures you will like this cute little model seahorse. The paint colors are bright and well applied. My favorite thing about this figure is its tiny little eyes that shine.
The Papo Seahorse measures: 1" L x 2" W x 2.3" H.
Seahorses are a type of marine fish that belong to the family Syngnathidae. They are found in shallow tropical and temperate waters all over the world, including the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans.
Seahorses are unique in appearance, with a long, slender snout and a curved body that resembles the shape of a horse's head. They are small in size, ranging from about 1.5 to 35 cm (0.6 to 14 inches) in length, depending on the species. They have a prehensile tail that they use to grasp onto objects in the water, and their eyes can move independently of each other, allowing them to scan their surroundings for predators and prey.
Seahorses are also unusual in that the male is the one that carries the fertilized eggs and gives birth to the young. They are monogamous and mate for life, with some species engaging in elaborate courtship rituals before mating.
Seahorses are threatened by habitat loss, overfishing, and the international trade in traditional medicine and curiosities, which has led some species to be listed as endangered or vulnerable.
