Papo Styracosaurus #55090 - New 2022
3+ Years
Small Parts. Not for children under 3 years.
The Papo Styracosaurus was re-introduced in 2022 with a new paint color. Originally reddish in color, this NEW version is primarily green.
The Papo Styracosaurus measures: 5.6" L x " 3.75" T.
As we noted with the original red version of this figure (#55020), this is our favorite pose of the Styracosaurus figures available. The "head up" / "roaring" head is unique as most figures are head down. It also has one front leg delicately extended. This figure looks ready for action!
Like the original red figure, the detailing on the head is some of the best. Layered paint provides details up top of details. The frill is especially detailed. This is a great figure. We like the new green paint job - we also like the old red paint job. Either the red or green figure would be a great addition to your papo dinosaur collection.

Styracosaurus; means "spiked lizard" (Ancient Greek). They had four to six long spikes growing from the neck frill, a smaller horn on each cheek, and a single horn grew from its nose, which may have grown to 2 feet long and 6 inches wide. Styracosaurus was a relatively large dinosaur, reaching lengths of (18 feet) and weighing nearly 3 tons. It stood about 6 feet tall.
Styracosaurus possessed four short legs and a bulky body. Its tail was rather short. The skull had a beak and shearing cheek teeth arranged in continuous dental batteries, suggesting that the animal sliced up plants. Like other ceratopsians, this dinosaur may have been a herd animal, travelling in large groups, as suggested by bone beds.
