The Papo Blue Oviraptor figure captures the unique anatomy of the Oviraptor with its distinctive beaked mouth, elongated limbs, and sleek, bird-like body. The Oviraptor’s brown skin is accentuated with splashes of blue creating a vibrant, yet natural appearance.

The posture of the figure, evokes the creature’s swift, nimble nature. The claws are meticulously detailed, showcasing their utility for foraging and possibly for defense. The figure is in the process of stealing an egg - for which it is named.

This Papo Blue Oviraptor measures approximately in inches:
4.5 L x 3.5 H.

Oviraptor meaning "egg seizer" or "egg thief". Early on it was assumed that the oviraptorid were egg rustlers, however, after further scrutiny we see they were actually brooding the nests they were located near. Oviraptor was a rather small feathered oviraptorid, estimated at 5.2 ft long with a weight between 73-88 lb. It had a wide lower jaw with a skull that likely had a crest. Both upper and lower jaws were toothless and developed a horny beak, which was used during feeding along the robust morphology of the lower jaws. The arms were well-developed and elongated ending in three fingers with curved claws. Like other oviraptorids, Oviraptor had long hindlimbs that had four-toed feet, with the first toe reduced. The tail was likely not very elongated, and ended in a pygostyle that supported large feathers.
