The Woolly Rhinoceros was a notable species of rhinoceros that roamed Europe and Asia during the Pleistocene epoch, approximately 350,000 to 10,000 years ago. This prehistoric mammal is best known for its distinctive woolly fur, which provided insulation against the cold climates of the Ice Age. The woolly coat, combined with a layer of fat beneath the skin, helped the Rhinoceros endure the frigid temperatures of its environment.
One of the most striking features of the Woolly Rhinoceros was its large, curved horns. Unlike modern rhinoceroses, which have more conical or rounded horns, the Woolly Rhinoceros sported two large, forward-facing horns.
