Selected as one of the best young Mammoths 2022. This figure is a great compliment to any of the adult Mammoths. Some of the other smaller Mammoth figures are called "calfs" - this figure is called a "young" mammoth. A good sized figure and representation of a non-adult mammoth. Cute figure. Has "knub" tusks painted on - a nice touch. Texture of the figure is appropriate and the raised truck reminds of an elephant calf holding its Moms tail. Overall a great figure and would make a good addition to your collection.

Young Mammoth Information:
The woolly mammoth was roughly the same size as modern African elephants. Coexisting with early humans, who used its bones and tusks for art, tools, food, and shelter. It disappeared from its mainland range at the end of the Pleistocene 10,000 years ago. Isolated populations survived on St. Paul Island until 5,600 years ago and on Wrangel Island until 4,000 years ago. A newborn calf weighed about 200 lb.
