Papo Jackal #50259
3 + Years
Small Parts. Not for children under 3 years.
The Papo Jackal is an acceptable example of this relatively hard-to-find figurine (not a lot of choices). While the figure is not particularly striking, it does accurately capture the general features of a jackal.
The medium relief texture on the figurine is as expected. I did find that the eyes were a little oversized, which detracts from the overall realism of the figurine.
Jackal figurine are relatively hard to find. As such, this figure fills a niche.
The Papo Jackal #50259 measures: 3.25" L x 2.1"T.
Jackals are medium-sized carnivores that belong to the dog family. There are three species of jackals: the golden jackal, the black-backed jackal, and the side-striped jackal. They are found throughout Africa, the Middle East, and parts of Asia.
Jackals are known for their adaptability and can thrive in a variety of habitats, including savannas, forests, and deserts. They are opportunistic hunters and scavengers and will eat almost anything, including small mammals, birds, insects, and even carrion.
One of the most interesting behaviors of jackals is their tendency to form monogamous pairs that mate for life. The pairs often live in small family groups and work together to raise their young.
