Papo Giraffe Calf #50100
3+ Years
Small Parts. Not for children under 3 years.
The overall appearance of this Papo Giraffe Calf model is good looking. Stands tall and sturdy on its four legs in a standing pose. Solid color spots on the body.
The Papo Giraffe Calf #50150 measures: 3.4" L x 5.5" T.
One of the positives is its tall standing position, which gives it a realistic look. This is currently one of the tallest giraffe calf figures currently available.
I also appreciate the nice high relief mane on the back of its neck which adds to its overall appeal.
While the spot pattern on its body is good looking, there are little outlines around many of the spots. The spots are all one solid color.
Smooth texture of the model has a polished look and feel to it.

Giraffe calves are fascinating creatures, known for their long legs and spots. They are born after a gestation period of around 15 months, and stand approximately 6 feet tall at birth. Within hours of being born, they are able to walk and run, which is important for their survival in the wild.
Giraffe calves are very social and typically stay close to their mothers, learning from them and other members of their herd. They will nurse for several months before transitioning to eating leaves and other vegetation. Giraffe calves can be preyed upon by lions, hyenas, and other predators, so they must remain vigilant and rely on their speed to escape danger.
One of the most distinctive features of a giraffe calf is its spots, which are unique to each individual. These spots are not fully developed at birth and will darken and become more defined as the calf grows older. While the spots serve as a form of camouflage, they also play a role in communication and can help identify individuals within a herd.
