The Papo White Tiger figure has a white coat stands out against the well-defined dark stripes. The presence of some gold / brown stripes provides a lovely color contrast adding variety.

The Papo White Tiger #50045 measures: 5.4" L x 2.6" T.

Papo White Tiger #50045 Review:

The attention to detail on the face is exceptional, with intricate features such as the nose, mouth, whisker holes, and brilliant blue eyes. The head is beautifully sculpted, making for an attractive appearance overall.

The stripes on the body are well-defined and add to the realism of the figure. While mostly black stripes are present, there are also gold / brown ones that provide a nice variety in color. The contrast between the white coat and dark stripes is striking and makes the figure stand out even more.

One area for improvement would be the hair texture on the body, as it could use more detail to add to the overall lifelike appearance of the figurine. However, this is a minor quibble in an otherwise excellent product.

White Tiger Information:

White tigers are a rare genetic variation of the Bengal tiger, with a distinctive white coat and dark stripes. They are not a separate subspecies of tiger, but rather a result of a recessive gene that is present in some Bengal tiger populations.

White tigers are native to the Indian subcontinent, where they once roamed freely in the forests of the region. However, their numbers have declined significantly due to habitat loss and poaching, and today, they are considered an endangered species.

One of the most interesting aspects of white tigers is their unique coat pattern, which is caused by a lack of pigmentation in the hair. They are not albinos, as they still have dark stripes and blue eyes, but rather a genetic variation that makes them stand out from other tigers.

Unfortunately, white tigers are often bred in captivity for their unique appearance, which has raised ethical concerns about the practice. Additionally, the inbreeding that occurs in captivity can lead to health problems for the animals.
