The Mojo White-Tailed Deer Fawn figure showcasesg the fawn's small, slender body, large expressive eyes, and characteristic white spots on its back. The fawn's fur is textured to mimic the downy coat that is typical of young white-tailed deer, with a mix of light browns and creamy whites that blend to create a lifelike appearance.
The posture of the fawn is one of curiosity and alertness, with its head slightly raised and ears perked, as if listening intently to its surroundings. The figure's legs are slim, emphasizing the fawn's fragile yet agile nature.
The Mojo White Tailed Deer - Fawn figure measures 2.25" long by 2.25" tall.
White-tailed deer fawns are born in the spring after a gestation period of about seven months. A doe, or female deer, typically gives birth to one to three fawns, with twins being quite common. At birth, fawns are small, weighing between 4 and 8 pounds, and are covered in a reddish-brown coat adorned with white spots. These spots help provide camouflage in the dappled light of the forest, protecting them from predators.
Fawns are initially very vulnerable and rely heavily on their mothers for survival. For the first few weeks of life, they spend much of their time hidden in tall grass or thick brush, remaining still and quiet to avoid detection. The doe stays nearby, returning several times a day to nurse her young. During this period, fawns are virtually scentless, further aiding in their protection from predators.
