The CollectA Dimetrodon Deluxe measures approximately 7.3" long by 4" tall, and 2" wide.
Dimetrodon is not a dinosaur but rather an extinct synapsid, belonging to a group of ancient relatives of mammals known as "mammal-like reptiles."
Dimetrodon lived during the Permian period, approximately 295 to 272 million years ago, predating the dinosaurs by tens of millions of years. Despite its reptilian appearance, Dimetrodon is more closely related to mammals than to modern reptiles. It inhabited diverse environments, including swamps and coastal regions, where it likely preyed on a variety of animals, including early amphibians and reptiles.
