These seals are named for their spotted coat pattern, which resembles that of a leopard.
While they look friendly, Leopard Seals are known for their aggressive hunting behavior and are skilled hunters both in the water and on ice floes. They primarily feed on a variety of prey, including fish, squid, penguins, and other seals. Their sharp teeth and powerful jaws allow them to catch and consume large prey items with ease.
