While this figure is well constructed, the highlight of figure is the paint job. The brown base is shaded dark on the back to lighter by the face. The body is well accented with a great combination of stirpes and little dots. The head is also covered with little white spots. Bairds Tapir are distinctly marked with white stripes and spots which are comparable to a watermelons pattern. A Baird's Tapir may be active at any hour, but is primarily nocturnal. It forages for leaves and fallen fruit, using well-worn paths which zig-zag through the thick undergrowth of the forest.
