Utahceratops was a relatively large ceratopsian, measuring around 6 meters (20 feet) in length and weighing several tons. Its name, which means "Utah horned face," reflects its place of discovery and its characteristic horns. Like other ceratopsians, Utahceratops likely possessed a beak-like structure at the front of its jaws, which it used for cropping vegetation.
