It belonged to a group of dinosaurs called theropods, which includes famous species like Tyrannosaurus rex and Velociraptor.
Liliensternus was a medium-sized dinosaur, measuring about 4 to 5 meters (13 to 16 feet) in length. It had a slender build with a relatively long neck and tail. Its forelimbs were shorter than its hind limbs, and it likely walked on two legs, similar to other theropods.
