Eotyrannus, meaning "dawn tyrant," lived during the Early Cretaceous period approximately 130 million years ago, making it one of the earliest known tyrannosaurs.
Eotyrannus is believed to have been an apex predator in its ecosystem, likely preying on smaller dinosaurs and other animals of the time. Its relatively small size and agile build may have allowed it to pursue and capture fast-moving prey with ease.
Eotyrannus was one of the earliest Tyrannosaurids known. It had a heavy skull and and a powerful bite.
