The keel-billed toucan, also known as the rainbow-billed toucan, is a large bird species native to Central and South America, particularly in tropical rainforests. It is easily recognizable by its oversized and vividly multicolored bill, which can measure up to one-third of its body length.
Despite the bill’s large size, it is lightweight and used for picking fruit, the toucan's primary food source. Known for its social behavior, the keel-billed toucan often lives in small flocks and has a distinctive call that echoes through the jungle canopy. Its colorful appearance and playful nature make it one of the most beloved symbols of the tropics.
