Like other poison dart frogs, the toxins in its skin are derived from its diet of ants and other small insects, making it highly poisonous in the wild. However, in captivity, where their diet is controlled, these frogs are not toxic. Despite their small size, Poison Dart Amazonica Frogs are highly active and play a vital role in the rainforest ecosystem, helping control insect populations.
