Best PNSO Dinosaur 2022: PNSO Zaha the Dunkleosteus #47
The was the unanimous consensus top pick for #1 PNSO dinosaur figure 2022. This is a well designed model with a moveable jaw, but what really sets this figure apart is the shimmering paint job. Truly top notch and unlike the paint on any other prehistoric figure we can find. This is not only our favorite figure from PNSO 2022, but is also our favorite Dunkleosteus from any manufacture and our favorite prehistoric sea figure of any kind. From top to bottom, we cannot find any flaws with this figure. PNSO Zaha the Dunkleosteus would be a great addition to your PNSO dinosaur collection.
2022 PNSO figures ranked #2 through #6 are really toss ups. We like each of these next 5 figures. Small differences impacted the rankings but any figures ranked #2 - #6 are great figures.
#2 PNSO Dinosaur 2022: Luxiong the Zhuchengtyrannus #58
Great form and overall color makes this a great model. Our favorite part of this model is the head and mouth. With special attention paid to the inside, the roof of the mouth looks quite impressive. Wrinkles and ribs are representative of what you would expect from a living dinosaur. Great overall model.
#3 PNSO 2022 Prehistoric Figure 2021: Jennie the Centrosaurus #60
PNSO Jennie the Centrosaurus as a model has a nice design, the skin texture and detail is attractive. The frill is molded well with an overall good quality head and horn. Some reviewers thought the paint job is not great and could be a little better. Others thought the paint was just fine. Look at our actual product pictures and decide for yourself.
#4 PNSO Dinosaur Model 2022: Anthony the Styracosaurus#59
This figure is so good that one reviewer thought it should be the #2 ranked PNSO figure. PNSO did a fine job on Anthony the Styracosaurus, We particularly like the attention paid to the frill and skin texture. The paint is done well too adding to the overall appeal of this figure. Anthony appears to be taking a step and the motion is a nice touch. A great addition to your dinosaur collection.
#5 PNSO Dinosaur Model 2022: Ivan the Olorotitan #53
The paint job is well done with muted colors until the cranial crest which is bright and eye-catching. Detailed skin with realistic texture and wrinkles adorns a model with a unique bipedal stance that could be one of alert. This figure stands tall and would make an all around great addition to any dinosaur model collection.
#6 PNSO Dinosaur Model 2022: Xiaoqin the Tsintaosaurus
This figure could easily be ranked the #2 PNSO – 2022 figure. All of the figures #2 thru #6 are so close in quality. On this figure, a lot of detail has been paid to the folds, wrinkles and texture of the skin. Along the dorsal run muted brown/grey stripes with teal accents. A simple touch that adds to the quality.
#7 PNSO Dinosaur Model 2022: Logan the Nanotyrannus #49
Of the new PNSO 2022 releases, this is the one figure we have issues with. The issues we have are NOT with the figure itself – it is a well sculpted and painted figure. Our issues are twofold. First, for the price, this is a SMALL figure. Measures only 6.7” long. Second, and most importantly, this figure does not stand well. It does not stand on its own, it needs the included clear stand from PNSO to stand. Unfortunately, even with the stand, this figure is unstable. The clear stand that PNSO provides is it’s generic clear stand – with this small figure, that stand does not seem to fit. We had a very hard time getting this figure to stand.
