Dromaeosaurus albertensis is a well-known dinosaur species that belonged to the group of theropod dinosaurs known as dromaeosaurs. These dinosaurs are often referred to as "raptors" and are famous for their sharp, curved claws and presumed intelligence.

Dromaeosaurus albertensis is classified within the family Dromaeosauridae, which is a group of small to medium-sized theropod dinosaurs. Dromaeosaurs are closely related to modern birds and share several characteristics with them.

Dromaeosaurus albertensis lived during the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 76-72 million years ago. Fossils of this dinosaur have been found in North America, specifically in the Alberta and Montana regions of Canada and the United States.

Dromaeosaurus albertensis was a relatively small dinosaur, with an estimated length of about 6.6 feet (2 meters) and a height of around 3.3 feet (1 meter). They likely weighed around 33-44 pounds (15-20 kilograms).
