Utahceratops getty Information:

Utahceratops is a genus of herbivorous dinosaur that belongs to the family Ceratopsidae. The full scientific name is "Utahceratops gettyi." It lived during the Late Cretaceous period, around 76 to 77 million years ago. Here are some key characteristics of Utahceratops: Size: Utahceratops was a relatively large dinosaur, reaching lengths of up to 18 to 23 feet (5.5 to 7 meters). Horns and Frill: Like other ceratopsids, Utahceratops had a prominent frill at the back of its head and distinctive horns on its face. It had two long brow horns above its eyes and a shorter horn on its nose. Beak-like Mouth: Utahceratops had a parrot-like beak that it used to crop vegetation, indicating it was an herbivorous dinosaur. Quadrupedal: It was a quadrupedal dinosaur, meaning it walked on all four legs. The fossils of Utahceratops were discovered in the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument in southern Utah, United States. The discovery of this dinosaur has contributed to our understanding of the diversity and evolution of ceratopsids during the Late Cretaceous period. As with many dinosaurs, ongoing research may reveal further details about Utahceratops and its place in the prehistoric world.
