Named for its ornate crown-like frill, Regaliceratops is closely related to Triceratops. The skull was first found by Peter Hews (hence the species name) and was nicknamed 'Hellboy' for its difficulty in being excavated from the surrounding rock matrix. This ceratopsian figure measures 10.5 in. long and has 20 points of articulation. Includes collectible trading card, unique background display insert and instruction sheet. Scientific Name: The name "Regaliceratops" is derived from the Latin words "regalis" (meaning "royal") and "ceratops" (referring to the horned face), highlighting the distinctive frill. The species name "peterhewsi" honors Peter Hews, the person who first discovered the fossil.
Size: Regaliceratops was a relatively large dinosaur, estimated to be about 5 to 6 meters (16 to 20 feet) in length.
Horns and Frill: It had two large brow horns above its eyes and a prominent frill at the back of its head. The frill displayed unique characteristics, making it easily distinguishable from other known ceratopsids.
